There is evidence of St. Patrick’s Day celebrations in the city going back to the mid-eighteenth century when groups like the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick met to celebrate the day. The 2015 schedule of events includes Mass at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, the St. Patrick's Day Parade, Stage on Radcliffe Street, Step Off and Raising of the Irish Flag over City Hall.
