More than four decades since CSN first harmonized in Laurel Canyon, and played their first-ever concert as a trio at the legendary Woodstock festival, its members continue a creative partnership that is one of the most influential and enduring in music. David Crosby, Stephen Stills, and Graham Nash have each been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame two times-once with Crosby, Stills & Nash, and a second time with The Byrds, Buffalo Springfield, and The Hollies, respectively. They have also been inducted into the Songwriter's Hall of Fame, with the honor recognizing both CSN as a group, and each member as individual solo artists. 2014 Lowcountry Jazz Festival

The 2014 Lowcountry Jazz Festival will open with soul singer Bobby Caldwell, a 30-year musical icon whose recent performance of “What You Won’t Do for Love” had everyone on their feet at the 2013 Soul Train Awards. Friday night’s show features multi-instrumentalist Brian Culbertson and the Smooth Side of Soul with saxophonist Najee. Jazz Attack, a collaboration of crowd-pleasing, chart-topping contemporary jazz musicians will headline Saturday night. Philadelphia’s jazzy R&B band Pieces of a Dream will open the show. Sunday starts with jazz pianist Alex Bugnon at the festival’s traditional brunch and concludes with one of the most successful instrumental artists of our time, Boney James. Still more artists are being confirmed for the festival as well as final plans for additional events and late night jam sessions. The festival, repeatedly named a Top 20 Event by the Southeast Tourism Society, draws thousands of jazz fans to Charleston and raises funds to benefit Closing the Gap in Health Care, Inc., an organization whose mission is to decrease health disparities among the underserved.
