More than 200 of these Veterans and their Caregivers from all over the country will be attending. This is a chance for our community to show their gratitude for these Veterans' sacrifice as well as see an incredible show. Blackwater Ukelele Festival

The Blackwater Ukelele Festival will be held at Cypress Gardens. The festival is put on by local ukulele enthusiasts. They kick the festival off with a workshop appropriate for the beginner through intermediate players. A free concert will be put on by the Charleston Hot Shots, a "Skiffle" band and The V-Tones, a unique ukulele swing band. Another unique feature is the Boat Jams, where ukulele players man the Bateau boats, 10-12 to a boat, and are rowed around the swamp singing and jamming together. Even the non-ukulele playing visitors to the park get a real kick out of it.

Just prior to the official opening of Boone Hall Fright Nights, come experience an all new event that is sure to get your heart pounding. Running Scared is a 5K run, walk, crawl, however you can make it through the Zombie Apocalypse course. As you run through Zombie infested woods at Boone Hall containing Fright Nights sets and scenes; including the all new attraction for 2013 - ZOMBIE TOWN. The object of this run is not to be the fastest (no one will be timed), but to make it to the finish line without being infected. Then join in the ultimate Zombie Bash with music, food, beer and more. This is going to be one “killer” day.

Sigur Rós announced the ultimate U.S. leg of their globe-spanning tour, which will consist of a final, 20-show run including a stop at the North Charleston Coliseum, September 25th! The tour began a year ago on the East Coast trailing the release of the band’s sixth studio album Valtari, and will continue following next week’s release of its hard-rocking successor, Kveikur (out June 18th).
